ALA 2011 RESIDENTIAL 1 - SILVER AWARD
The inspiration for this new home was historic t-shaped farmhouses that dot the landscape of the Midwest. Rather than create a typical Michigan cottage, we chose to revisit the simplicity of the 19th century farmhouse and interpret it in a modern and updated form. This four bedroom, three bath home features an open floor plan and large windows creating a transparency which captures the natural beauty of the meadow and wooded landscape allowing the exterior and interior to become one. Approximately 2,800 square feet.
